I Feel Abundant When…

Posted in Create Abundance

Walking with the family along the Cape to Cape track at Canal Rocks, Yallingup

I feel abundant when…

My family and I get outside for a walk in our magnificent surrounds on a cold but sunny winter’s day

I talk to a dear friend on the phone

I dance and sing

I see a rainbow or a butterfly

I step outside each night to look at the beautiful starry sky

I walk in the bush or on a long, quiet beach

I take a fresh batch of biscuits or a cake out of the oven

We receive our spring water delivery for the fortnight

My kids come and give me a hug while I am still waking up in the morning

I am working with a client and feeling so connected with them and the universe

My car is full of fuel

I have just finished cleaning the house

I am preparing to have guests come and stay with us for the weekend

I bring my awareness to the light shining brightly in the centre of my being

I hear my children giggling in delight together

I smell my favourite flower, a rose in perfect bloom

I give thanks for my magically blessed life

A Story of Perserverance

The Kapok Bush Essence combats apathy and resignation

I have a little story to tell.

Once upon a time there was a young woman who didn’t know who she really was.

She loved learning and spent a lot of time earning qualifications. Then she had two children and her whole life changed.

She immersed herself in motherhood and learned a lot about patience, frustration, control, anger and most of all, love.

Little by little, year by year she slowly realised there was a quiet little voice inside her wanting to be heard.  The little voice whispered;

You are good”

“You are creative”

“You are loved and supported more than you will ever know”

“Only you know what is good for you and how you might be happy”

“You are the power in your own life.  Dream, imagine, follow your heart and take the first step”

The woman took some steps which felt random and ill-conceived at first.  She took some short courses that sounded like fun.  She booked herself  a place in the first weekend of a year-long course in kinesiology and thought she would see how it felt.

She dreamed of being an artist, a writer and living with her family in the country.

Along the way she made meditation a daily practice and found a yoga class she loved.  She made new friends and learned to live much more from her heart than her head.

The woman learned to look after herself as a priority and other women came to see her to help them with healing and balance in their lives.  She felt the urge to begin writing down her story and two years later she hesitantly at first, called it a book.

She told her family she wanted to move to the country and they struck out to explore Margaret River as a potential home.  When this didn’t pan out she sighed and cried and then let it go and planned a house move locally.

Another two and a half years later she is sitting at a desk in her home in Dunsborough writing this blog.  Her children are thriving in their new home, her husband is humming as he moves through the house. His sense of humour has returned.  Young women with babies and toddlers are coming to see her for healing and guidance.  She has woken up in this new life and feels so blessed.

Looking back she can now see how the last ten years were slowly but inexorably carrying her to this moment.

It’s the same for us all.  Patience and surrender play big roles but if there is a powerful dream in your heart, keep it alive, feed it and know that when we make ourselves happy in each moment, we are less attached to the “big stuff” we want.

For me, this detachment from my ultimate dream helped me to be curious, not overly concerned about events last year that at first made me feel like we were being dragged further away, not closer to the outcome I sought.

I think I read this in one of Neale Donald Walsch’s books: “You take care of the what, God takes care of the how“.

Persistence and acceptance balanced together.

A lovely Monday to you all,

New Year Dreams

Happy New Year!

2012 has begun and for my family it is going to be a year of change and hopefully large-scale transformation.  We are moving down south in three weeks to a rental property yet to be decided on and to a lifestyle where work plays a different role in both mine and my husband’s lives.  We are both feeling remarkably calm and open-minded about what our lives will be like in the coming months.  This is huge for us both as previously very cautious and conservative people as far as work and finances are concerned.

Last night we had dinner together and discussed which old beliefs, behaviours and values we were ready to release from 2011 and what we are ready to embrace for 2012.  This turned out to be a really fun and worthwhile discussion and one I would recommend you have with your partner.

Another great exercise to do alone is to write down a message to yourself about what you are already grateful for 2012 bringing into your life in the categories of personal, work, money and spirituality.  This tip came from Jennifer McLean, click here  to see her full email with another great New Year activity to do to farewell the old and welcome the new.

I’m feeling full of energy to pack boxes and throw out heaps of stuff we don’t need before we move.  I’ve never moved house at the beginning of a year before and it feels like the energy of transformation and preparation for the year ahead that comes with the month of January is assisting me in my tasks.

Whatever little or large changes you are planning for your lives this year,  January is a great month to take some time to take stock and feel grateful for all that occurred in 2011.  We can feel grateful for both the good and the not so good things that have happened as they have all brought us to this moment in our lives, and in my experience it’s often the upsetting and even traumatic events that teach us the most about who we are and how we want to live.

A beautiful flower essence for this time of the year is the Christmas Bell Essence which helps us to manifest the dreams we would love to bring to fruition.  Although, when we are asking for help from Spirit via the plant kingdom, the plans we are making must be in support of our spiritual development so you can forget about using Christmas Bell to manifest that new sports car or designer watch.  But keep it real, and you will be supported in so many wonderful ways.

Blessings of peace and joy on this first day of the transformative year of 2012,
